  • Tours

Our usual cycle tours are one day in duration.  We accompany you on quiet roads and tracks, providing an insight into our region.

The countryside in Hampshire and Wiltshire stays with you. It’s a place of quiet roads, rolling hills, golden fields, peaceful woodlands, trout-filled rivers and sleepy villages.

Depending on the tour you choose you may cycle on Roman roads, past steam railways, civil war battle sites, Iron Age forts, ancient stone circles and canals.  And – from more recent history – you may spot a few mysterious crop circles too

We also make sure you have plenty of time to sample English hospitality, from country pubs serving traditional British beers to quaint tea rooms serving steaming pots of tea and incredible cakes, scones and buns.

    Stonehenge

You may wish to see Stonehenge

One of the most famous places on earth is Stonehenge –   unlike most people, you won’t have to sit for hours in traffic jams before you get there. Instead, with Heritage Cycle Tours you arrive over the crest of a hill, fresh air filling your lungs, to be greeted with a clear view of those famous stones. We also stop off at the Iron Age settlement of Old Sarum – all part of our one-day tour from Salisbury.  Full details of the route are available in Sample itineraries

How about the Neolithic stone henge at Avebury?

At almost one third of a mile across Avebury is the largest stone circle in Europe and is set in an area dripping with ancient sites.   All this after forests white horses and canals– just part of our one-day tour from Marlborough.  Full details of the route are available in Sample itineraries

Come and visit the quintessential English villages of Hampshire.

Trout, watercress beds and thatched cottages have long been popular along the Itchen valley, including the pretty little town of Alresford.  A rural haven just outside Winchester and the lunchtime pub brews its own beer –all  part of our one-day tour from Winchester.  Full details of the route are available in Sample itineraries

    Something different?

If you want a shorter tour OR visit a different area OR take a tour over several days –  we can configure an excursion to meet most requirements.  See the Tour options page for some ideas.
